Poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players receive five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is akin to your original ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure in accordance with the original bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up money even with your wager and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
